The Idea Behind Foundry

DOING THINGS DIFFERENTLY

Most would start with a space and then look for people to fill it. We’ve done the reverse and started with building networks first, which has allowed us to have a ready ecosystem of partners and residents for Foundry.

PROOF OF CONCEPT

The Majurity Trust has supported 5 nonprofits in the last 3 years through our pilot coworking concept.

“Access to the The Majurity office space has served as the bedrock for robust intra-organisational communication, and partners who visit the office space can physically see that Impart is engaging partners like The Majurity Trust to build stronger ecosystems of care.”

– Impart

“As a young charity, simply having impromptu conversations with the other residents has helped KampungKakis be more aware of our organisational blind spots and work on collaborative corporate partnerships together that would not have been
otherwise accessible to us!”

– KampungKakis

“Being in the same physical space has reduced the barriers to collaboration and has allowed Ray of Hope to better support charity partners – we’ve since worked together with the residents to raise over $200,000 for them on our crowdfunding platform.”

– Ray of Hope

CAME FOR THE SPACE, STAYED FOR THE COMMUNITY

Beyond collaborations, the founders in our pilot space organise Founders’ Support Group sessions, with laughter ringing well into the night.

Some are also already working with the sector enablers such as Ray of Hope and Within Studios.
